Major kitchen refurbishment project in St Albans

Project Description

Following an extensive kitchen and utility space refurbishment, including installing a ceiling lantern in the space to bring more light into this previous dark and 1970’s looking room, our design brief was to create an all-encompassing solution, that really maximised storage but keeping the focus on a new light and visually open space. A further criteria was to make this a social space for the property and incorporate formal dining, but NOT in a traditional sense.

So after a few design tweaks, our client chose our PREMIUM Masterclass Kitchens Solva Painted Oak solution in Mussel on an Oak cabinet. With this door offering a modern twist on a traditional shaker, having really grand and wide stiles and rails to create a very dramatic look and NO ‘V’ grooves, this solution for the kitchen and utility brings substantial depth to both rooms. Coupled with the stunning and often unused Imperial White Granite (which our client was able to pre-select before purchase), the space truly came together. With the addition of a FULL STAVE RUSTIC OAK table to be able to seat up to 6 people incorporated into the small but also generous island area, it completed the look and the whole space has become a superb and functional space to cook, socialise, work, relax and enjoy.

Premium SMEG appliances, including a stunning 90cm wide Oven and Fridge Freezer, plus a huge amount of interior storage and functional solutions to add clever and increased volume, were incorporated into the kitchen. This has truly been one of our most exciting projects of recent times.

And finally …. basically both rooms just work beautifully!

We cannot thank you all enough for your hard work

So pleased. Moving in to the old style of 1970’s kitchen, it was difficult to see through the gaudy tiles and the dark kitchen. But look what we have now and the team has been fantastic. Advice given was exemplary and everyone at Neil’s Kitchens has been bang on form. We were even allowed to contact the team late at night, due to our unusual work hours, discussing queries. That’s what we call customer service from a switched on company.
