Due to the continued expansion and success of our Kitchen and Room Interiors showroom in Tring, Hertfordshire, we are currently looking for a SHOWROOM ASSISTANT to assist with our continued growth. The ideal candidate should be well presented, confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to develop a good rapport with clients and fellow colleagues alike. The ability to work independently and without supervision will be a key attribute for this role.

The remuneration package will be dependent on previous skills and therefore discussed at interview.

HOURS: Monday to Friday – 9 am to 4pm plus Saturday – two in every three weeks – 10am to 2pm

START: Monday 10th April 2017

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initial interaction with customers visiting our showroom and the ability to communicate our products and services that we offer
  • Arrange appointments for home visit surveys and follow up appointments for Design Studio visits
  • Support the showroom design team including, but not limited to, the control of information flow to our customers as well as the installation teams
  • Provide administrative support including answering the phone, typing, scanning and general administrative duties and support colleagues within the business
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers
  • Updating our social online presence in Facebook, Twitter plus others and maintain our website Blog
  • General upkeep of the showroom, brochure stocks, door and worktop samples and other items
  • Future career progression opportunities will be available to the right candidate, possibly and eventually moving into CAD design with full training given
  • A full UK driving licence is essential plus your own vehicle, as you may be required to visit a client from time to time (expenses covered)

Education, Training and Qualifications

Good grounding in both English and Maths as well as a reasonable understanding of all aspects of the Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel. Some CAD software experience would also be ideal, but not essential. Any formal qualifications would be a benefit.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Experience

A Retail Showroom background would be preferable, but not essential, as full training and support will be given. This position would ideally suit someone who has had a previous Kitchen and Room Interior showroom background but now looking to develop their skills into full design solutions over time.

Personal Attributes and Characteristics

An interest in interior design would be useful but a strong work ethic and customer focused communication skills will be vital.
